Our ‘97 defender just stalled on us during the idle from reverse to drive. Our mechanic mentioned an issue with it stalling at idle when he was checking the temp gauge but it hasn’t happened to us until now. Any others with this issue and perhaps a fix?

 

Make sure the IAC is clean and operating properly. Use carb spray and clean the IAC and the hole in which the IAC sits.
