Default Supplemental Insurance

Has anyone had success purchasing additional insurance on their Land Rover? I want to insure my truck for the amount that I've actually put into it. I'm concerned Geico will only pay me roughly $4K should my truck be declared totalled. (So far, I've put about $5K into it) I've tried a few websites, but my 2004 Disco is not considered a classic car. I've seen a few companies in the UK that do this but not in the US. Thoughts?

I recommend you contact Geico about covering your vehicle under Agreed Value instead of Stated value. You can read it here:

Get Info » Blog Archive » Agreed Value versus Stated Amount

Most insurance companies can cover your vehicle under Agreed Value as long as you can provide documentation to verify the higher value of your vehicle. You may have to pay a higher premium though depending on the selection of the insurance company.
