Suspension Fault LR3 - replaced compressor
I’m wondering if anyone can help. I have a 2007 LR3 and recently my compressor started to crap out (started making a grinding noise).
I recently purchased a new compressor and a new relay with it.
After installing the compressor, the suspension fault warning came on with system fault, special programs not available.
When I started my car up I noticed the compressor wasn’t even TRYING to turn on. So I reset the battery, hooked the compressor up on its own to a 12v source (to see if the new one was broke). Ran fine.
I recently was reading other forums and they said you can run a wire from positive to negative in the relay slot to simply test if the compressor is getting power from the wiring harness and connectors. Full power!
I’m wondering what else I can do to troubleshoot. When I put the relay back in and start the car, compressor doesn’t kick on, almost like the light is on immediately. Even with just the key in the on position.
I checked the engine fuse block that goes with that too. Check the smaller fuses related to the suspension.
What else can I do or check? Any help is appreciated.
