Terra Firma medium lift TF202 steering issues?
Well its good to be back at the forum. I sold my 1997 disco I a while back and realized i missed it to much. Found a 50th anniversary Disco I with a rebuilt engine and have been back in Rover Heaven/Hell ever since. I recently installed a Terrafirma TF202 lift from AB used the Fathers day sale upon 10% off, great deal. Looks great and rides nice, but it now drives a bit different. I also install a new TF steering dampener. The Rover feels like the front steering is constantly following the contour of the road and moves back to center slowly. I had it aligned twice and is spot on. Also running Stock tire size with recommended tire pressure. One mechanic said the Terrafirma Steering dampener is much stronger than stock and can cause the vehicle to act this way. My dampener attach points are stock and it attached to the rear of the steering linkage. Have any of you guys with lifts had issues like this?

I have a different lift but the problem is almost surely the caster angle. You can get caster corrected radius arms from RTE FAB (they can redo yours) or just adjust to the difference if it isn't too severe.
With a lift, the caster angle (angle of a line between the top and bottom ball joints to the ground) changes. If the change is extreme you can have trouble turning or, the other way, have trouble staying straight. Your lift changes your caster angle so it is harder to stay straight. I have the same issue but I've just adjusted to the twitchy steering and the fact that the steering does not want to return to center on its own.
