Default Testing the fuel level from the gauge?

Does anyone have a write up on the process? My manual doesnt have it need to verify the wiring in or near the cluster is F'd.

Thanks..

I have no idea what you are asking.
Is your fuel gauge toast?

Trying to figure out if the meter in the pump or the the cluster gauge is bad. The pump works perfectly find, the the gauge consistantly on "E". The tank is full, but dont like to guess how many miles are left.

I would like to test the signal into the gauge to see if the "signal" from the tank is good....

help!

A scan-gauge or Ultra-Gauge or other OBD reader can read what the Sending unit in the tank is indicating. If it corrosponds to what you know the level to be that will narrow the problem to the Instrument Cluster.

Actually the UltraGauge does not read the fuel level in a DII. Can anyone with a ScanGuage II confirm whether or not it reads DII fuel levels?

If you want to correctly test the fuel sending unit, read the information in the Rave, it gives you step by step instructions and values to see.

Do a search on the forum for the RAVE manual.
The fuel pump only takes 30 min to get to, I am betting the float is sunk.
Roll up the carpet in the cargo area, open the hatch, remove retainer ring, lift up on fuel pump.
