Default Tire Valve stem & pressure monitoring

I have a 2007 LR3...I went to place some air in one of my tires a few days ago and bam, the valve stem broke off and the tire went flat. O'Reilly said you have to buy a sensor that has the valve stem attached, they couldn't determine which one I needed either. Is this really all one piece or is it 2 pieces? I could care less about the light going off. I'm concerned if I don't buy them for all four tires to match the light will be going on and off anyway. Not wanting to spend $80 for a sensor if the light may still come one. Anyone dealt with this?

You have several options. Replace the sensor and have it calibrated to your LR3, or disable it all together. I'm fairly certain the GAP Tool can enable/disable TPMS. I am lucky to own an 06 LR3 that did not come with TPMS. Or if you're on the cheap side just take the tire to say Discount tire and have them install a standard valve and your tire will be fine, but your dash will have the (_!_) staring at you.

I had an 06 LR TPMS sensor on a spare I bought and it had Ford written all over it. My guess is the same TPMS from a Ford of a certain year is compatible with a LR, just not sure which one.
