Angry Transfer Box

I have a Land Rover Discovery 300Tdi and during oil changing the thread stripped on the Transfer Box Drain Hole. Any suggestions welcome.

How many threads do you think you pulled? I know the make a die set, not sure how well it will work though.
Can you thread it in any amount?

Thanks Mike, I can screw it all the way in but it just wont tighten and the hole does look to be well stripped. I have just read about a kit by TIME-SERT which they claim does the trick - know anything about them?

You might try just tapping for a slightly larger drain plug and pick one up at the autoparts store. That's what I'd do rather than faff about with an insert in that location.
