Hi all,
I had a problem with clunking from my gearbox whenever I changed into first ,second gear. I was told that the mainshaft and the mainshaft gear in the transfer box could be the problem, however I have removed the gearbox and checked them and they are both in perfect condition., when I lock the differential in the transfer box I noticed there is about 10 to 15 degrees of rotational movement if i hold the rear output and rotate the front output by hand. If i put the transfer in to either high or low ratio and rotate the input gear i get approximately the same movement before the gears take up drive. Is this normal and if not any suggestions as towhat might be wrong. basically i dont want to dimantle the transfer box in vain. thx for your help
