Transfer Case Neutral "message"
Just purchased a used 2004 Range Rover HSE with 60,000 miles 2 months ago. For the last 3 days I've been getting the message on the dash "Transfer Case Neutral" only blinks on for 2-3 seconds then goes off. Only does this maybe 1 or 2 times on my 30 minute driveto work. Last night on the way home the "Transfer Case Neutral" message came on several time in a row. Then I felt the transmission shift and the dash display said something like "Transmission Safe Mode Program" Once I stopped and turned off the truck everything went back to normal, but when I returned to the highway the same thing happened.
Any help...????? or should I just bring the truck into the dealer and bend over..?!?!?!?
)
Thanks,
Bob

check your owners manual, and look up the section regarding, towing the vehicle. there is a fuse you can install to safely tow the vehicle without causing damadge to the drivetrain. this fuse may be in place when it should not.
I have a 97 range rover 4.0 SE Drove it no problem pulled in to park it when I put it park it made a grinding noise and then I had no forward or reverse message said transfer case in neutral checked fuse 37 and it checked out any suggestions
