Trinary switch decoding
Hello everyone,
I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to help me repair my A/C.(1996 p-38) I think I have the problem narrowed down to the trinary switch, but just wanted to be sure. With the connector removed from the switch and the engine running, I have 12 volts at one of the pins. If I jump to one of the others, I can make the compressor come on and the vents blow nice cold air. If I jump to another pin, I can make the right side fan come on. If I jump to the other pin, nothing happens. The lefft side fan never comes on and I think it may be bad. My question is, what is supposed to happen when I jump 12 volts to each of the three pins? I'm sure someone must have been down this road before, and I would really be thankful any help.
Thank you,
Wilson
