I have a 93 Range Rover right now & Launch ICarScan need a bigger vehicle. I really want a Discovery. I hear so many cons. I do have a friend who has a 2002 and has never had an issue. If you own or have owned a Disco can you please give info, Thanks!!

 

I've had my 2000 for almost a full year. It's my first Rover. I don't have the rear air springs, ACE, or sunroofs, so I don't have to deal with those issues. Maintenance has not been bad, and I've done what I can to stay on top of things. Only had one breakdown stemming from a failed alternator and old battery. Have the usual Three Amigos, SAI component issues, but nothing that would prevent me from getting to where I need/want to go.

This truck does everything I want, and then some. They're cheap to buy, though not cheap to fix or maintain. Very capable, spacious enough for me and what I do/want to do. I've been wanting one of these since they first came out for MY99. After 15 years of having an eye for them and hearing about all the issues owners have had with them, I took the plunge and have been very happy with it. There are no other trucks, aside from a modern Defender or 70 series Land Cruiser, that I would rather drive.
