Default Vibration 96 Disco

I recently purchased 96 Disco with 147,000 from original owner. I am real happy with the truck as it looks and drives like new and came with all service and 2 sets of original keys, remotes ect ect.Truck has a vibration when the drivetrain is torqued up. Original I thought maybe a motor mount which I checked and all the normal various stuff. I pretty sure its a u joint but before I change every one of them maybe someone can tell me which one usually fails first and I'll change that one and see what happens.

Welcome to the forum, and with regard to which one fails first, well, any of them really.. sorry to say.

Check for movement on all of them first before you start replacing them, you might find the one that has the problem.

When you say a vibration, what sort and is it constant or only when you let the power in at the start?

Hey Lightning,
Thanks for your help. I was under the truck yesterday and checked for any obvious sloppy joints. The vibration starts about when you hit 2nd gear when truck is accellerating and stays with the truck until you either let off the gas, start coasting or you can immediately make it go away put putting it in neutral. I tried to check it by applying e brake while driving and it sort of goes away usally meaning rear output shaft but as I checked it yeaterday it didnt reallt seem defective. With the application of Newtons law it will either be the most exspensive or difficult one to replace. Whats you geuss?

Kennims, Auto or manual ? Vibration starts in second gear ? Might be an engine misfire. Can you duplicate with a power brake ?
