Default Weird issues with my lights

Need some help from the expert. My 99' Disco 2 has been puttering along nicely and yesterday during the day the high beam light came on. That evening I noticed that all the lights on the left side of the truck were now not working. Indicators work fine. The day time running lights

I checked all the fuses with "light" icons and they were all fine. I took out the head lamp on the left side and noticed that the day light bulb was blown. Changed it out but it did not change my issues with the lights on the left side of the vehicle.

One strange thing I noticed is if I turn the lights on to the first position, I am able to turn on my fog light on the rights side but not the left.

I am a complete novice mechanic so any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Lights need grounds - all black wires tied to frame/body posts. Check them all for corrosion/clean them if you find any.

Grounds. Ok great idea. Are there specific ground(ing) points that you can point me towards? I don't have a service manual for my truck. Sorry for the stupid questions.

I cannot point you to them since I own a 97...... The service manual (Rave) is a free download, google it. 590mb and you'll have a million bucks worth of Rover information.

In the mean time follow the light connector black wires, you'll see a few ground terminals in the process. If you live where there's salty air you absolutely have corrosion.
