Unhappy 2005 Land Rover LR3 SE

New purchase, please let me know how I did. It has 150k miles, but I did run over a deep pothole (it was covered in water). This car is for my parents and I want someone's opinion on the lower control arms. They have both been replaced by the second owner and he paid well over $1,500 at Land Rover. I have the records for the work and he also did an alignment. The car cost me $3500 but it scares me now cause I can see some scratches on the left arm not the right, which makes sense because the pothole was on the left side of the road. I plan on going in on Monday for an alignment check. Here are some photos, thanks for looking!

Hondaboi:
Uh, just out of curiosity, why do you feel there is damage to the front end? Did it start pulling to one side, making a clunking noise or leave the steering wheel pointing off center? Feel free to take it in for a check, but that photo of a pothole is not a pothole in the sense most of us rate potholes. (please see attached photo for a mild pothole. I had four people in the car and was pulling a trailer.) Looking at your photos leads me to believe you don't take your car offroad very much, if at all, but allow me to put your mind at ease - in fact I think it is just mud on your control arms, not scratches. I have driven 150 kilometers one way in the Botswana desert, where you literally beat the krap out of your suspension. My suspension is stone stock, and did not even require an alignment afterwards. These vehicles are amazingly capable and tough. You don't need to worry overmuch.
