Default Will D2 drive without front driveshaft?

Hi,

I just put a tranny in my d2 and I'm still waiting for the driveshaft to get here. I was wondering if I could drive it from my friend's shop back to my shop with the front driveshaft not in. This also is a question on how the 4wd system works on the rover.
To my understanding I thought I could just lock the cdl and just use it as a rwd, but that didn't seem to work.

-Thx

Did you try locking the diff before you turn on the truck? That will disable the traction control (the TC and ABS lights will be on). If you lock the diff with it running the traction control is still active.

I believe I did it with the truck off. The traction control I don't think works anyway cause the lights are on for that
