windshield buzzing
Just had windshield replaced on my Discovery 2000 series 2 due to rock damage. Since then, I am plagued with an unpredictable loud buzzing noise that seems to come from the upper driver's edge of windshield while driving between 35-65 mph. The insurance recommeded technician has been patiently trying to find and fix the buzz but so far cannot get the sound to occur while he drives the car. I have left it with him 2 times so far and no buzz. Other than a new replacement, what could you suggest that we do?

RE: windshield buzzing
OMG! I've been having a terrible time with my LR as well with the windshield replacement. Wipers weren't working properly afterwards, the key fob would sometimes not work due to the truck kill switch being on.
In any event, you'll probably have to take it to the dealer for them to inspect it. There they will hook it up to a computer to diagnose the problem.
Good Luck!

RE: windshield buzzing
I don't think a computer diagnostic will find a wind-related buzzing sound..
But it sounds like he just missed some sealant, or broke the bead when putting it around the frame. If you have a buzzing sound, you might also have a leak, so I would keep an eye on it. But it is also possible that its just not properly seated weather stripping around the glassing, making a reed-like effect. Betcha the glass technician is pulling the 'could not replicate' excuse so he doesn't have to replace the windshield again.
