I believe that I have a Volvo B6324S engine in my LR2. I want to confirm by checking a label on my vehicle but I can't find one anywhere. I checked all the tags under the hood (bonnet) as well as the markings I could read on the engine itself, but cannot find any model # for the engine.
Why does it not surprise me that the service manual only tells where to find the engine id plate if you own a diesel model? Par for the British course, I guess.
I looked, didn't see a data plate but I didn't remove the splash guard underneath.
You could try calling the dealer and giving them your VIN?
Thanks for checking. All roads lead back to the dealer
I'm pretty confident that is the correct engine model #. It's useful to know as a keyword for searches to learn more about the engine. Here are a couple search results I found with the engine code:
Found it. It's a Volvo B6324S. The B6324S5 variant didn't come out until 2011. It's known as the Volvo SI6 series of engines (short inline 6 cylinder).
