Default 2008 LR2 Fuel pump runs after ignition off

Hi!
I have a 2008 LR2. Just recently, I noticed that the fuel pump runs continuously after I've turned the car off and removed the fob. I let it go for about 10 minutes to see if it would actually shut down on it's own but it didn't.
If I put the fob back in the dash and push the start/stop button (without my foot on the brake) and then shut down again, the pump will stop.
I searched other threads related to Fuel Pump issues and I don't have those issues. The car starts and drives great and will restart just fine.
The only issue I have is the fuel pump running after ignition off.
I'm assuming this would indicate a faulty Fuel Pump Driver Module but I'm curious if anyone else has had this issue and can confirm that it would be the Fuel Pump Driver Module.
For those who are not aware of the location, the module is easy to get to! It is right under the little felt covered bin on the left side of the back cargo area.
Also, this car does not have auto start/stop as some have mentioned their LR2's have.

If I replace the module, does it need to be programmed? I have the Mongoose clone OBDII cable and SDD installed on an old laptop and have been able to program other things as needed.
I'm just trying to wrap my head around the task before I get started.

Are you assuming it is the module, or have you done the right thing and checked it with SDD to see if it really is the module?

I haven't checked it yet... I haven't had time yet. I'm assuming that's the issue at this point since it was working fine til recently.

Hi all!! I'm in need of input from an experienced SDD user!!!

So, after quite a bit of procrastination, I finally got tired of having to wake the ignition after shutting off the car before taking the fob out of the dash to ensure that the fuel pump shutoff.
I pulled all of the connectors off of the Central Junction Box (CJB/BCM) and reconnected all -- to ensure there wasn't a wonky connection. That made no difference.
I hooked up my computer with SDD and went through the "Recommendations" in SDD for Fuel issues. It was determined that the fuel pump relay was at fault.
Unfortunately, with these vehicles the fuel pump relay is not a replaceable relay. It is actually physically soldered to the PCB inside the CJB module.
I reached out to the service manager at the local Land Rover dealership and he was kind enough to lookup CJB updates to see if there was ever an update released to address fuel pump relay issues. Nothing...
He agreed that it likely sounded like the fuel pump relay was on it's way out. The service manager, of course, mentioned that the only "official" way to fix that is to replace he CJB which can be difficult to source a new one.
I figure that if I have to replace the CJB anyway, I might as well start by attempting to desolder the faulty fuel pump relay and solder a new relay. Unfortunately, this isn't as straight-forward it sounds. I'm very adept at electronic work and can handle that part of it...
During my searches, I ran across another very useful post on freel2.com (https://www.freel2.com/forum/topic40245.html) that identifies the various relays that are found inside the CJB. As is described in that forum post, the CJB is actually a module that consists of two intricate PCBs. The top PCB contains all of the fuses and relays. The bottom PCB is the main CJB Logic board. In his picture with the sticky notes on the relays, the fuel pump relay is labeled as R103.
In preparation to replace that relay, I purchased a NOS relay off of eBay. The part is a Hella relay (part # 4RD 743 556-01). It's a 6-pin through-hole mounted relay.
Unfortunately, to remove the original relay, the best access is from the underside of the top PCB. You can see in the other forum, he actually separated the two boards. In order to do that, you have to desolder the 44pin jumper between the two boards. I have yet to take on that task.
My first step was to download the module configuration files from the CJB using SDD so I would have those configuration files in case I ended up needing to replace the CJB afterall.
That's where I'm at now... Unfortunately, as I was downloading the files my laptop froze. I waited for several hours to see if it would unfreeze but it didn't. I had to abandon the session.
After I disconnected the laptop, I attempted to start the car -- with no success.
When I insert the fob into the dock, it is accepted and locks into place. If I press and hold the start/stop button, the ignition will wake. If I press the brake and try to start the car, nothing... I can hear the modules power down and then back on but the car doesn't start.
After reconnecting SDD and looking at the current car configuration, I can see that the "Steering Column Lock" shows as "Undefined". At that point, I opened the previous saved session prior to the laptop crash and could see the proper configuration for the "Steering Column Lock." I attempted to save that configuration back to the CJB but it would not successfully apply.
My goal now is to get the module configured and the car running before working on replacing the relay.

So, with all of that background, I'm trying to figure out if there is method to reconfigure the CJB to recognize the Steering Column Lock module from the Engineering mode in SDD or if I can go through the "Configure new CJB module" procedure with my existing CJB module. Would I need to disconnect the Steering Column Lock module at some step and then retry? I've seen many people talk about many different approaches for other problems with other modules but knowing that the Steering Column Lock is also the Immobilizer and has heightened security around it, I'm not exactly sure what the best steps are to get the CJB to see the steering lock.

With all of that said, this is not a wiring issue. I am certain that it is a module configuration issue.

Also, since I haven't already mentioned it, yes and yes, my laptop was plugged into it's power supply and I had an external clean power source hooked up to my car with a high-quality power supply (Clore Automotive PL6800 12V 100/40/10A PRO-LOGIX Fleet Charger w/100A Power Supply)

Thanks for that info, however, I'm fine with replacing the relay on the PCB myself.
My challenge was getting my CJB/BCM to recognize the immobilizer module after my laptop froze while downloading the current car configuration file.
For anyone else that finds themselves in a similar situation, today, I went ahead and reprogrammed my existing CJB/BCM as if it were a new module using SDD.
Over the past couple weeks, I have done a ton of searches and have asked around and nobody could or would give the advice to simply go through the process of adding a new BCM module but keeping the original BCM in place during that process.
The process worked perfectly and my BCM now communicates with the Column Lock Module/Immobilizer. I didn't have to disconnect any modules.
I did unlock SDD into engineering mode but I'm not 100% certain that was necessary.
In the "extras" menu, I clicked on the link to "add new BCM" and followed all of the steps.
You do need to know the various accessory levels that your specific car has (e.g. high-line Cluster, Premium audio, etc...) to ensure it configured everything properly during this reprogramming step.
Beyond that, there were a couple of additional steps
1) The process requires reprogramming of the TPM wheel sensor IDs into the BCM so you need to be able to read those and enter them at that step
2) you also have to reprogram any/all key fobs that you have so you'll have to have those with you. Any that you don't have won't be added will not work. You can go back later to reprogram those if you need to.

After all of that, the final steps that are built into pretty much every routine are to read and clear all error codes.

As a novice user of SDD, I can say that I was rather nervous to take that step but I figured I might as well give it a try as I'd been without my car for a few weeks now.
The car now runs and drives fine again!

Now, back to the original task of swapping out the faulty fuel pump relay.

Thankfully, it's not my daily driver!

Sensor? In TPM there is a transmitter and an antenna. The transmitter is in the wheel and the antenna is on the inside of the fender. ??

Really! Yes, it's a SENSOR! It senses the pressure and temperature in the tire! Does it have a transmitter, yes, obviously! But, it is primarily a SENSOR. I came to this forum to attempt to get help with my car issue and to share my experience and resolution to help other owners of similar vehicles. You have not been much of any help in this endeavor. If you don't have something to offer then you're not helping! I'll be leaving this forum because of your MANY useless responses to this and other posts of mine.

Both the TPM transmitter and the antenna are sensors. It helps when you are ACCURATE in your descriptions. If you wish to take your drama queen act elsewhere, that's your prerogative. My posts have 600 likes. Yours have 4. There's your sign. Ciao.
