2012 LR2 Cracked part
#2
Looks like one of the rear suspension arms. Used to be LR002575 but it has been superseded by LR003230. Using the old part number you can find them on eBay, not expensive. The service manual calls them "transverse links". There are four of them in the rear suspension assembly. Looks like the front right one broke. Pages 244-245 of the PDF of the Service Manual explain how to replace them. Not very difficult.

Without looking at the remains of the parts, I can only guess, but from past experience, I would surmise this might be a corrosion-related failure. Something might have hit the link on the road and damaged it, and then over time corrosion weakened it until it gave up the ghost. Something else to add to the checklist when you're under the car -- check the transverse links for corrosion or other signs of wear and tear or damage.
