AUXILIARY AUDIO INPUT JACK SOCKET how to install
I'm guessing you'd have to remove the center console panel first. Then verify that there is an unused harness connector in the right area which matches the connector on your new socket. Verify the location for the socket and drill a hole (if there's not already one). I'd take a pic for you, but I'm on the road, here's one from google which matches what I remember for my 2008, audio socket in left rear corner...

You can download the service manual here, it will have directions on how to remove the console. You might also be find a video on youtube.

The aux jack must be a feature for the 2008 HSE vs SE model (I don't have one visible). @LR2driver , exactly where is your aux jack located? LR is well known for covering up add on features for higher models on the lower models?
Not exclusive to HSE, my SE has one and I use it.
Actually use it for bluetooth now. I have a TUNAI Firefly plugged into the adjacent power jack (via a an 12v USB plug), and the audio cable from the firefly plugged into the aux jack.
Phone connects to Firefly via BT, then audio is available on the stereo using the aux mode. Doesn't work for phone calls, since there's no mic.
Downside is the the rear 12v socket is always powered (unlike the front) so if you don't unplug the firefly it could drain the battery eventually. It would take a while, I've left it plugged in for days with no ill effects.
