Default Blower fan won’t shut off? LR2

2013 blower fan won’t shut off. Drained my battery last night. Is it a relay? Which one? How do I find it? Thank you

I thought the module was built into the fan, itself. Don’t really know as I don’t have the ‘13 workshop manual nor electrical guide.
But you have to admit… better to drain the battery then allow the engine to overheat.

I just have to ask…. was the ignition left on and the fob anywhere close to the vehicle?

The blower module is a resistor pack that is separate from the motor.

Did you look at the service manual diagram?

It's right there, page 1635, diagram E75802, item 5, "Blower motor control module." You turn it a bit and it comes right out.

No relay.

Only a fuse to the fan control module.

Removing the fuse will disable the CABIN BLOWER MOTOR.

Are you sure that you have a LR2 and not a CHEVY?

The Blower Motor Controller A.K.A "Resistor" apparently can fail and the fan won't stop.

Looking above it looks like the RESISTOR was already suggested

Did you replace it?

I do like that the CHEVY uses a 40 Amp fuse also and in the video they removed the fuse to stop the fan.

Good luck

Paul
