I don't know where this is located in my 2009 LR2.. Can anyone help me?

 

Here's a pic from the manual, it's on the top left of the Heater Assembly, which is behind the console.

Looks like a fair amount of work to get to, and there's a pretty complicated "special tool" required to install the blower. Maybe the tool comes with a new blower?

 

So do you think I have to approach it from inside the vehicle? Like take the control panel off to get to it?

 

Yes from the inside, you'll need the manual for sure, it's a fair amount of stuff to remove. Bootleg pdf manuals can be found online.
