Default Cyls 4, 5, 6 misfire

A few days I had an issue with my LR2 losing power and acting like it was going to throw up. I thought it might have something to do with the shot engine mounts which were causing loud noise from the exhaust at the front, but now that I fixed that, it still happens occasionally and the diagnostics are saying that cylinders 4, 5 and 6 were misfiring. I am at a loss to explain why only those three would misfire and not the other ones. Anybody seen this before? What does the ignition on those three cylinders have in common?

On the road but IIRC the CPS solenoids are bank-specific?

Did a ground get disconnected?

That is my suspicion as well. Will be working on the truck today and will check. Thanks.

All the wiring is in good shape, no grounds disconnected, no frayed or broken wires. The problem is very intermittent, this morning the engine runs fine with only an occasional hiccup. No ignition related codes found.

At 192k miles I think it's time to change the ignition coils and plugs, so I ordered Delphi coils and the recommended NGK ILFR6B/6481 plugs.

I changed plugs regularly, about 50K?

I changed the coil around 150K, just for road trip reliability. I do that with all cars which do road trips.

It's most likely the coils. I also changed mine proactively but kept the originals. Delphi is good, when I purchased the new coils I bought them from a Volvo dealer close by because their price was very fair compared to every other equivalent. They did go up after so I got lucky at the time re price.

Might be a bad O2 sensor or Cat for bank 2?

I have a pending error for that too. I guess I will have to fix that too when I change the coils and plugs.
