Done with the braindead stock nav
I'm done with the braindead navi that comes with the LR2 and the pathetic six year old $200 update.
One Garmin 2598 with lane advisory and hd traffic (https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/122523 $65 used on Craigslist), and one Nite Ize Steelie car mount kit (https://www.ebay.com/itm/Nite-Ize-Steelie-Components-Mount-Kit-Desk-Dash-Pedestal-Kit-Universal/131725889143 $25 on eBay), glued right in the middle of the @#$*(&(!@ nav display. Finito. Next weekend I install the one thing I can't believe LR would not put into a $40k SUV -- a backup camera. I bought the wireless Garmin BC30 (https://www.microcenter.com/product/...-backup-camera $209 with 2 year extended store warranty), which pairs with the GPS to display on its screen and auto-switches when you shift to reverse.
