As the title says my girlfriend wants to get her first rover. I have owned a D1, D2 and now I have a LR3, lets just say once you own one you don't look back. So I am very familiar with the greatness that comes with owning a rover. I'm not familiar with the LR2 though. That's why I am looking for your help, what are the known problems with these? Anything I need to look out for? What is everyone getting for gas mileage? She really wants a LR3 but I suggested a LR2 because it is a lot smaller and I was hoping it gets better gas mileage my 3 only averages 15.5 MPG 😢.

AFAIK and this could be evil Disco3 propaganda, the modern LR2's are basically Ford Escapes rebranded.

IMO they aren't what I think of when I picture a land rover, just my $.02

I would rather buy a clean disco 2 or 3 over an LR2
