Default Groaning/Shanking while turning help please!

Here's to hoping you know more than the dealerships I've worked with..yikes.

Back in December '13 I took my care in for a groaning noise as well as something that sounded like metal on metal when starting. I had my power steering flushed (twice) and replaced including the pump (twice) and the rack and pinion. I was told after this repair the car would continue to groan as the air worked itself out of the system, it is still making that noise today (and yes I've tried turning my steering wheel to work the air out blah blah blah). Is that normal? It is making noise at all times, just not as noticeable, it almost sounds like the car is gurgling.
To top it off, not only is my car making the groaning noise- while turning my wheels feel like they're wanting to go the other way almost, the steering is fine as in not hard to turn, but the steering wheel will shake a little and the front wheels also feel shaky. I am not sure if these problems are related, and I am thinking this may be because I need new tires? I have a 2008 LR2 with 77,000 miles.

**I should add I also recently had the rear differential replaced**
Any help would be appreciated!

I had a problem on a 2002 Mazda Tribute that might be similar to your problem. It made a grunt/creaking noise when turning at slow speed, and it was very difficult to identify the source of the noise.

The solution was to apply grease to the front strut rods and the inside of the dust boot that covers the front struts. Mazda issued a TSB for this problem. This was only a noise problem, as there was no problem with the steering itself.

This is a long shot, but you sound like you're open to suggestions.
