Default Heated Windshield Question

The heated windshield in my 2008 LR2 gets used quite a lot during the cold months due to snow, ice and frost. I have noticed that fewer and fewer of the elements are melting the frost and was wondering if this is a windshield issue or a wiring issue? Would a new windshield correct the issue or is it more serious than that?

You'll likely have to replace the entire heated windshield. It doesn't have separate power inputs for the various heating elements.

Thank you for the reply. A new heated windshield is not too bad as long as it works.
