How long will a 2009 LR2 last?
Hello,
I am considering a 2009 LR2 with roughly 86K miles. Carfax shows it has been taken care of, no diff fails and nothing but regular maintenance.
How long can I expect this car to last? How many miles can I put on it? Will the vehicle suffer wear even when not in use?
Thanks for answers

I don't think many of us have gone much over 100K, and it was a new-design drivetrain so hard to say. I guess I'm hoping for ten years/150K but not expecting too much beyond that.
I've been fortunate, but there is a known issue with rear differentials (search on that).

this diff repair is called a 'low level repair' and it costs € 500 here in Europe.
there is software for the diff which help it to last longer.. but its a fairly common fault amongst Freelander 2 (FL2).
eventually there will be a considerable % of diff failures.

Good morning, my name is Luke and Hajraldi are Italian, I'm a happy owner of a free 2 2.2 TD4. I have already traveled 252,000 kilometers. and problems apart from the famous bearing rear differential replaced but at 195,350 kilometers. I've never had wonderful car on long journeys and comfort from top class .........

I have done regular maintenance on my 2008 LR2 HSE, now at 90K miles. I had the following repairs over the last 7 years:
- replace alarm switch on engine hood (warranty)
- replace starter motor
- clean the mass air flow sensor (MAF)

I have a 2009 LR2 with 135,000 miles (bought it with 77.000). I had to have the fuel pump replaced @ 85,000 and rear wiper motor a short time later. No issues with the differential. I'm looking for 200,000+ out of this one!
Maybe. Mine went about then or a little later, but I think I've heard of them going out at 100K+ (miles, not Km)
