Smile I finally managed an aftermarket navigation for my lr2 at a great price

I needed navigation on my Lr2...factory ones tend to run very high in the thousands....portable looks crappy....so after reading other rover forums...decided to try Magellan 1700 for my lr2 and works perfect! Looks just like factory install...I have posted the pics below. The whole thing cost me less than 350 dollars..including installation charges!..the voice comes from the nav itself, not the car speakers..which is fine..it is loud and clear..nav tends to lock on immediately..so no problem there.

Loks sharp. Did you do the install yourself? I got both my trucks with the factory Nav mainly because of the looks of aftermarkets. But I must admit, your look very clean! Nice job!

Does anyone know if this voids the warranty? I just bought a 2011 LR2 and would love to install GPS as long as it doesn't affect the warranty.

I just finished the same install. Works awesome and looks great! GPS cost $140 and the install was $125. Well worth the money. I had the installer run the usb wire into the glove box so I can easily update the device.

It will not void your warranty.

Vivarover and rover25, do you have photos you can post showing how you completed the install?
Great job,
