Sorry for the delay in responding. It's been a crazy week.
Anyhow, you can add a picture by clicking on the image button when creating a new message. The image needs to be hosted somewhere and you provide the URI to the image in the dialog box that is presented to you when you click the image button. For one off pic posts I just upload my pics to an image hosting service, like photobucket or imageshack.

Well we got 18" of snow on the Cape so I had to take my LR2 out to play. I was concerned the stock Continental Contact 4x4 tires wouldn't be up to the task but I can report they did rather well. I'd feel more comfortable riding on Nokians in these conditions but I was satisfied with how the Contis performed. I live off of a secondary road which had not been plowed and and when I went out there was about 12" of snow and my LR2 ate it up with no hesitation. It was a fun afternoon and I continue to be highly satisfied with my purchase.
As an aside: Since taking delivery of my LR2 in late September I've been getting an average of 24.7 to 25.2 mpg per tank with about 90% highway driving.

They are amazing little vehicles, especially with the terrrain response. after a huge snowstorm we were cleaning the lot and I had to take one thru a bit of plowed snow about three feet deep. Well turned on the sand mode and got thru it. vehicles not LR got stuck.
Once you learn how to properly utilize terrain response before the situation you can conquer anything just about.

Sand mode is best for unplowed snow? Interesting.
Impressive fuel economy.
Reliability has also been fairly good based on responses to
TrueDelta's Car Reliability Survey.

read the owners manual. for heavy snow sand is actually better as you need to keep spinning to get out of it and you sink down if you dont keep the right amount of gas.
if you want to really learn the vehicle take a course from land rover experience school. Even after two hours it will provide you will alot more driving experience regardless of vehicle.

Cape Codder! I'm new to the forum and to LR2 ownership (about a month now) and love the vehicle. Would you happen to know if the LR2 can drive the Cape Cod National Seashore Oversand Beach (Race Point to Truro)? I've got the Continental 235/55R19 tires, but from this website it seems like they may not meet the official requirements. I really want to take the LR2 on sand this spring, and I guess I'm hoping that if you're in the area, you may have tried this already. Thanks for whatever help you can offer.

Also in relation to the LR2: I've been filling it with 93 and 91 octane for the most part, and it seems like it will max out at 27 mpg with 100% highway driving. In daily use without any highway time, I'm getting 21 mpg. A happy surprise to say the least. I may begin to peel back the octane until I start to see a decline in mileage.
