Question New LR Owner - LR2 - slight worries

I just bought a 2008 LR2 SE for cash and have the vehicle home with me now, clean title in hand. It has 170,100 miles on it. It has a spotless interior - minus arm rest leather tears of age and sun and a small stain on the floor between door and seat (barely worth mentioning). I don't know much about Land Rovers but have always loved them and always wanted one. I bought this one from an older retired vet. He's the only owner, everything on title checks out. I have zero clue asde from his word and some on time oil change receipts that it was regularly maintained or otherwise. What I do know that doesn't work is as follows:
Back passenger side door: window will not roll down. it is closed and sealed and doesn't leak (tested that myself) but won't open. Makes clicking noise as if it is trying to move but doesn't at all. All other windows drop it like its hot.
Indicator Lights: One says "Coolant low" error. I have checked the coolant and even added some but it isn't leaking and seems to be ffull
Indicator Lights: Tire Pressure Regularor error (something like that). Tires are all aired up correctly and only one needs a tube cap thing where you air up the tire.
Sun Roof: closed for business. Doesn't budge, no noise, no lights, no nothing.
Any advice on these or otherwise? I'm reading through this site and forums and getting nervous I bought something that is about to blow up from what others say on here.

You should always be nervous about buying a vehicle without having a mechanic do a pre-purchase inspection to understand what you are getting into. These cars have extensive automation and, like with any Land Rover, can be finicky to maintain and unforgiving of skipping any scheduled maintenance. You should have done this beforehand, but you should take it to your nearest mechanic with LR experience, or an auto parts shop like Autozone, and have it scanned for error codes, then post them here. You could also buy yourself a scanner that understands the LR modules, like an iCarSoft or Autel. They are not expensive and you will need one if you want to keep this car.

Before taking it anywhere, reset the electronics by disconnecting the battery cables, touching them together for 10-20 seconds and letting it sit for 10-15 minutes, then reconnecting them.

That window in the back pax seat sounds like the motor gave up the ghost.

If you checked the coolant and it is indeed low, refill it and check it again in a week. If it's low again you have a leak and needs to be corrected. If the level doesn't drop, it's the sensor in the coolant tank and you need to have the little tank replaced. The sensor is not sold separately.

The TPM failure means one or more sensors have failed or were removed. You can buy another set. They cost about $50 on eBay for a set of four and any tire shop can install them. DO NOT let the shop charge you for reprogramming -- a set specifically for the LR2 will reprogram themselves by driving around for 15 minutes or so. It is also possible one or more of the TPM antennas in the fenders have failed, but that's rare unless someone pulled the inside of a fender and broke it.

For the sunroof, when you have the codes read it should report something related to that, a DTC error code that starts with B10EF, B10F2 or B113D. Let us know which one you found.

Finally, have the shop flush and change ALL the fluids, as if they had never been changed. That includes engine oil, engine coolant, transmission, differential, flush and refill/bleed the brake lines, etc. and when you add engine oil also add a can of Liqui-Moly MoS2 Anti-Friction Engine Treatment, and repeat the treatment every time you change the oil. I also have a 2008 SE and my engine runs like well-oiled old-school sewing machine at 183,000 miles because of that. Your engine will thank you for it.

Man thank you for the advice - I'm actually going to go get a code scanner. Found one at AutoZone for 40 bucks. I'll post the results. Fingers crossed on this LR. I really love the vehicle and am anxious to figure out it's health.

Read what I wrote, again. A $40 el-cheapo brand generic scanner will NOT do what you need because it only reads GENERIC error codes and doesn't talk to the LR2 modules.

You want something like this:
Autel MaxiAP AP200 Bluetooth OBD2 Scanner Autel MaxiAP AP200 Bluetooth OBD2 Scanner
with the Land Rover function (you get one brand of vehicle for free, but you have to download it).

...or this:
iCarsoft LR V3.0 for Land Rover/Jaguar Diagnostic Tool with auto VIN/Quick Test/Actuation Test iCarsoft LR V3.0 for Land Rover/Jaguar Diagnostic Tool with auto VIN/Quick Test/Actuation Test
(Pricier but worth it).

Don’t forget the brake, power steering and power transfer unit fluids.
Flydb5 is right on. reset the system and get the codes after the reset.

Incidentally, this vehicle NEEDS a fully charged, fully capable battery. All kinds of codes are displayed that are irrelevant if the battery isn’t good. The reason is there is not enough voltage to power up the modules. This will throw module error codes.

Yes, squeeze the bladders and make it pee! whee! Oops. Maybe I got too excited about that. LOL!

Have the battery tested, yes. And make sure it is fully charged. Toldya, the LR2 is finicky. Welcome to the club!
