Hello,
This site has helped me out so much over the last few months not only finding my new Rover but understanding it now that I have it.....Thanks for being here! I was very careful the day I pick up our 2001 Rover Disco to check everything over best I could and I am fairly good with vehicles but, now I have brought it up North and find out my ETC and downhill decent appear to not operate. I understand their relation to ABS and my ABS works but with no indicator light when I turn the key on at start up or when sliding on loose terrain. Ok so that works but, no lights however I had tried to get the ETC to work with steady throttle and as high as 2500k RPM with no engagement. when I turn my key to Acc I see no ABS or ETC light cycle, only the downhill light.
I have unplugged wheel sensors up front and not in back yet but every conection on this car is in impecable shape, only one wheel likes to spin going up slippery stuff and tends to be the front passenger 95% of the time.
I don't have an owners manual but have tried everything I can think of in low and high ranges on the gear box....any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dirt (trying to be) Hero
