I recently crimped both my rear suspension arms (RHS + LHS) with the jack - dont ask, not my finest hour, about the dumbest move ever.... (changing Winter to Summer wheels - not paying attention, etc....)
Anyway used the thread below from freel2 to work out what to do - proximity to the fuel tank etc - and actually got the job turned around quite efficiently - purchased an angle grinder from Walmart, a couple of new ams off eBay and fasteners from LR. Had to do the job myself as the car was crippled (undriveable) in my garage - going to the shop was not an option. After arm replacement I got the car aligned and it has driven great since.
But if I needed to replace them, I’d sort a different approach in order to gain a larger gap between the tire and the bar. My tire doesn’t rub… but its awfully close.
