Default Roof rack install instructions

Anybody know where I can get the installation instructions for an LR OEM Roof Rack for my LR2? I received mine as a pull from another 2008 LR2 that was being parted out, but the service manual doesn't have the instructions.

Just curious ... are there any special precautions when drilling holes in the roof to keep water out? I can imagine the possibility of rain or a car wash causing moisture to creep into the roof.

Also, do you know if these roof racks are typically a dealer-installed item or done at the factory? If dealer-installed, I guess you can always ping your local dealer for advice, if needed.

Not sure what you mean. The OEM roof rack doesn't require drilling any holes on the roof. The mounting holes are already there, covered by a removable plug. You replace that with threaded studs to bolt down the rails. You can see them on the rear of the roof on both sides, two plugged mounting holes. They do recommend applying sealant where you install the supplied studs.

Interesting, sounds better than I first thought. Enjoy your new rack!

Instructions are here. Relatively easy to follow, though I don't particularly like the Ikea approach.
