Hi everyone,

I have a 2013 Land rover LR2 HSE and awful smell when using A?c with heat or cooling and you try to use recirculate button it shuts off after maybe 5 minutes. Any help would be great.

 

Have you replaced the pollen filter? It's easy to do, takes five minutes, but kind of tricky to remove the glovebox, find a youtube video for that.

Otherwise you might have some debris like rotten leaves or even a dead animal in the ducting somewhere. Google how to access the blower motor from under the hood, I'd open that up and see if there's anything in that area. Otherwise it would be a big project to try to access and clean the cabin ducting.

IIRC the recirc is supposed to turn itself off automatically.

 

The recirc turns off by itself in 5 minutes unless you push and hold the button until it starts flashing.

Change the air filter and look for debris or dead something like was already suggested.

 

Check for mice.
