Default TPMS and FOB Mhz?

American market car 2008 LR2
Buying a spare 19" rim to have a full size spare need a TPMS for it.
Also only have one key and want 2 so I need to get the right frequency for the FOB
315 or 433?
thanks!

I have an American market 2008 LR2, as well. The standard freq for USA is 315. I tested my keyfob and confirmed this is true.

Regarding TPMS on the spare, I'm not sure what your question is? But it may not be a good idea to put one on the spare as it might confuse the vehicle TPMS unit which is probably expecting only 4 transmitters (tires). If the spare does not transmit unless the tire is in motion, I guess it will be OK as it would remain in a dormant state until mounted. But I don't know if that's how it really works. For example, I have a handheld TPMS tester that individually pings each TPMS to receive some basic status from each one (battery condition, temp, tire pressure). If the vehicle TPMS unit is sending pings, it might activate the spare and get confused. I'm just speculating ... someone else will know better. Interesting question.

Thanks for the Mhz

I'll post up the result once I get the spare bought and put into the car.
Since it won't be "active" when I put it in the car it should be fine. We'll see.

I have the "new" rim in the spare tire well with an active TPMS. No issues or drama.
Nice to have the security of a full size spare as well....
