Default Trailer wiring kit question

Does anyone here know if the VPLFT0106 towing wiring kit for the Freelander 2 will also work on a US LR2? I can easily rewire my trailer for this 13-pin UK kit, as it used to be wired for Germany.

Don't know the answer but subbed for interest. I don't see why it shouldn't really once correctly wired.

Because it's Land Rover. Learned my lesson, always ask first.

Only for 2012 or newer Freelander 2., not for me. Ordered the right one from LR Center in the UK. It has the thirteen pin connector but I have an adapter.

I took a look on the site but was not able to locate the item you bought. What's the part number for the 2008 LR2?

No, for Freelander 2. The electrics are the same.

Got the kit, everything routed and connected fine, it only took a few minutes to install.

Was about to pull the trigger on the kit, but they want about $47.00USD for shipping.......any recollection of what they charged you for shipping?

About the same, they ship DHL Express, took 2-3 days. I would not ask for slower shipment unless you are in zero hurry. I ordered a little part from Germany for something else and they shipped it by mail on the 1st. After being lost in space in customs, I think, but I am not sure, that it will be delivered tomorrow, and that only after threatening the USPS with an investigation for theft of registered mail. That company has stopped shipping anything to the US by mail until things settle down.

You could always check with your local dealer if they can order it and save the shipping cost, but the base cost might be much higher. Check fleaBay as well.

Which connector will you put on it? It comes with the UK vehicle side connector.
