we have a 2008 LR Freelander 2 TD4 HSE. Over the last year we have had an issue where all of a sudden the car comes to a standstill/stop whilst driving - yes, I know very dangerous -. We’ve taken the car to a ‘specialist’ and to a LR Dealership. Initially we were told it was the fuel pumps. Had them changed but still the same story. The ‘specialists’ have checked it and the LR dealership as well. The dealership have come back to us and told us that we may need a new engine at a cost of AUD$21,000- not including installing the engine. I was wondering if anybody else has had the issue and if so how they fixed it. Your assistance in this matter would be most appreciated as my wife and daughters love the car and don’t want to part with it. Thanking you all in advance if you can help us
