The molding or stripping inside my wheel wells is misshapen and sometimes now comes loose when driving. Does anyone know what this part is called or have a part number for it? Or know where I could pick up some new ones.

 

I got these when I had to replace them:

LR031593 left front
LR001623 rights front
LR001624 rear, rear part
LR005165 rear, front part

The sets sold on ebay mostly have 2 x LR001623, 2 x LR001624 and 2 x LR005165 and that will fit also. But from factory it came with different parts left and right front, the part on the left front has an extra bulge on the side like this:

Easy fix, it took me 10 minutes to replace them all.

 

That is great! Do they just slide on like the originals? Or doe they need some sort of adhesive?

 

They just slide on, no adhesive. It is a common thing to fail on a LR2/Freelander 2. It may depend on the climate but here in the Netherlands they last about 4 years. In another forum I found posts from people who started using some cheaper stuff which is sold on ebay per meter but I used the original ones.
