Default Won’t recognise keys

Hi everyone, hope everyone is well,
been having problems with my freelander 2, the car won’t recognise either of my keys, I had a guy out today and he did some tests and came back with this,

Attended at vehicle
Tested output from both keys is good.
Proximity signal is also good.
Vehicle shows two keys currently programmed.
If proximity keyless arial was an issue, key would be picked up when placed below steering column, however does not do this either.
Suspect its the control module itself thats gone down.
Also tried a battery reset on vehicle just to see if it cleared any gremlins.
I tried to program a new key, my computer did all it was meant to, it switches on the ignition and extracts the data however whilst trying to match the key, the vehicle did not respond.
Certainly an unusual situation.

I have gone as far as I can Derek

car is currently stuck in park, I did do a test myself also and it came back with a fault with body control module and stated column lock authorisation, what do I do next, It’s currently at garage and they said they can’t do anything and the other guy that went out today also says he has gone as far as he can with it and suggested taken it to another garage, my concern is are they also just going to say the same and then issued another bill but still not really any closer to a fix

any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated

Forgot to mention I did try a new battery and also checked all fuses etc and it is a keyless model so doesn’t have the port to Insert key
