Default 08 LR3 4.4L V8 - engine coil replacement best brand?

Looking to replace engine coils in my 08 LR3 and wanted to know if anyone could tell me who manufactured the original OEM part or if there is a superior coil to the OEM (over $700 for all 8 - painful but I’ll do it if that’s what’s recommended). Thanks! Going to do spark plugs at same time so any thoughts on best brand or OEM on those much appreciated as well.

I went with Delphi @ $13 each.

I second the Delphi recommendation. I've had good experience with them.

Thank you both! That is for spark plugs though right? Any thoughts on engine coil manufacturer? I’ve heard so some landys are super finicky they will only go smoothly with the OEM coils

No, we're talking about the coils. Never heard of Delphi making spark plugs....

Ah sorry, was driving when I responded and I think it was the $13 that threw me 😂 all the coils I’ve been seeing are $35–110 each 😫. Thank you both again!

Yeah, I'd love to know where the $13 Delphi coils are too
I see them for around $35 from Rockauto...

The Delphi coils are at Rock Auto under another brand listing. They will come marked Delphi or be blank or a mix of labeled and non, but they are indeed Delphi.

Thanks! Got the "white label" for $13, this week and they were Delphi coils. I did replace one and lazily didn't check the spark plug since they were new from summer, and only had maybe 1000 miles, but going to check that now since I'm getting the same error.

Is anyone replacing these proactively, i.e. with no error codes? My 2006 has 120k and is currently a mix of 2 different coils. Runs great though.

Also, when I replaced the plugs, 2 of the coil hold down knurled brass inserts ended up spinning in their holes. I epoxied them and one is holding and the other still spins and the bolts isn't tight. I can go another round and wait for the epoxy to harden a little longer but is this common?
