Default 18x7 steel wheels

Hello LR3 forum. Two part question:
Has anyone mounted 18x7 steel wheels on an LR3 instead of the standard 18x8? If so I'd love to see photos and know the wheel name style etc.
Second question: My Disco 2 has 5x120 wheel pattern, does that mean the 5x120 1" wheel spacers on my D2 would fit the 2006 LR3 with same hole pattern?
side note- not looking for peoples opinions on wheel spacers in general, just wanted to know if they'll fit.
Thanks for any help. Just in the middle of shopping for an older LR3, long time Disco 2 owner. Cheers.

I'm not familiar enough with wheel spacers to know the answer, but if they require the bore diameter to be the same (D2 v LR3) then they won't work. The LR3 has a larger bore diameter than the D2.

You can rebore them and use spacers, been done before. I am not aware of 18x7 wheels. Really I hate the very limited options LR3s have. I'll be getting 18x8 steels myself this summer.

New Defender take offs?

Spacers if hub centric as pointed out won't work for you. Have not seen 18x7 wheels. I'm running 18x8 steel wheels.

Yep. New Defender take offs. Bore size and bolt pattern the same as the LR3. Off set gives a little wider stance. I will probably go with a satin black finish somehwere down the road. Although the white is kinda growing on me... it's got that travel trailer look.

I dig it I would totally run them.

How much did those run if you don't mind me asking?

I’ve been watching for a set of the Defender steelie takeoffs locally, I’ve only seen one set in the last 5 months. Owner was selling 5 with Wrangler Duratecs for $1000, it was a smoking’ deal. Unfortunately I was second in line.

Upgraded Defender wheels are relatively common. I suspect folks paying for higher trims are just more likely to swap out stock wheels.

Just like on the early D1 that only came with steels so when the later model circa 1994 came out with nice alloys everyone ditched the steels for alloys, was a tyre shop around the corner from an LR dealer that had hundreds of rims that they sold off for $20 each. Was a cheap upgrade for my 81 RRC back in 94.
