Default 2005 Land Rover LR3

I have a 05 LR3 and my aux has a shortage in it . So now I want to move it to the front. does anyone know where I can find the wiring diagram for the radio so I can run a new aux cord or can anyone tell me which wires are for the AUX?

Thanks in advance

If you have the base model CD400 stereo the aux is the small plug on the LH side with 4 wires, 2 of these are grounds (black) and the others and L and R. Think they are blue and red from memory and cant remember which is which, if i find the diagram i will reply and let you know.
I added 2 aux, one in the front just under the RH cigi socket and the other at the back of the centre console for my kids to use.

I believe you will need to amplify the aux signal or turn the radio up pretty far. Consider adding Bluetooth using the aux in. Very happy that I did. Look for a write up in the audio section.

I didn't do it at the time but i have read that by joining both grounds you dont have the low volume issue,i use $3 BT adapter that plugs into the aux socket and sound is good.

Mine is an 08 SE but TDV6 so should be the same, if you have the small plug with 4 wires to the left of the main stereo loom then that is it, wire colour i wasnt sure about.

My recollection was that the aux plug mechanically connected the two black wires to enable the aux feed when a 3.5mm plug was inserted. It has been a while, but I think the wires in the back of the console were blue or purple for audio, red for power and the two black for ground. The wires in the back of the radio might have same colors. If you don’t have the aux plug, you radio may not support aux in. The aux plug has a small amplifier built in which is why it needed 12v power.
