LR3 went in shop today (not dealer) for yellow check engine light and was diagnosed with the following codes today:
P0133-B1S1 O2 SENSOR
P0420-CAT EFFICIENCY B1
P0442-EVAP LEAK
P0128-COOLANT TEMP
U0167-LOST COMM WITH ICM
P0576-SPEED CONTROL
P0579-SPEED CONTROL
C1A07-CROSS ARTICULATION
Figured the original compressor was going bad based on the noise that it makes, but did not expect all this. Have had random warnings pop up, but go away when car is restarted. Have not had one in some time.
If compressor is replaced will some of these other issues be solved or is it time to cut losses?
Front end seems creaky and is vibrating at certain speeds on highway, but was told it was fine. Would failing compressor cause the car to always be adjusting?
Please help.

Normally, a P0420 (Cat Efficiency) is cut and dry for a faulty converter. However, since you have an O2 sensor fault for the same bank, I would address that FIRST, then see if the Cat code returns.
Coolant temp is almost always a stuck open thermostat (occasionally a bad temp sensor).
Cross Articulation (C1A07) is usually the result of a sensor issue. Either a disconnected link, damaged sensor or possibly a repair done without the suspension system calibrated.
The speed control faults I don't remember off the top of my head, I would have to look when I get to work, but I "think" they might be faults with the switches in the steering wheel.

It is winter time, we see thermostats in everything we service. I keep just as many LR thermostats in stock as I do BMW & Mercedes.
LR air suspensions are just as reliable as any other. Actually easier to work on than the Mercedes Hydraulic suspension.
Not eveybody can stomach $80,000 for a new Rover. You can pay alot for an occasional repair on a good used one, or you can pay alot every month for a new one. Just depends on what you checkbook can withstand.
