I am not sure if I making the right decision, I purchased one and am picking it up tomorrow. It's a 2005, that supposedly (I am skeptical of all certified programs) is certified. I will get a warranty until 100k miles. But from what I have gathered the 2005 model had a bunch of "first year" issues. Should most of these be fixed by now, two years later and being certified? I mean I would assume they have performed all recalls and service bulletins. Is this a ridiculous thought? What do you guys think?

I bought an '05 this past summer and have no serious issues with it. The only issueI had is that the transmission 'kicked' from a stop, but it was fixed by the dealer at no charge. Most likely all of the recalls and 'bugs' should be corrected by now as i'm sure the original owner would have brought it in for service as needed. That said, I really enjoy the LR3 andthink you will also.

My '05 has 61k miles on it, including many hard offroad miles. Plan on keeping it forever. I experienced most of the issues, although I have been fairly lucky that all of my issues have been fairly simple to repair, except for two fuel tanks, Thermostat, several software updates, transmission recall, rats chewing through wiring harness...but, way fewer issues than my '99 Disco II. That almost kept me from owning another Land Rover ever again. LR3 totally changed my mind. Would not own another SUV....ever, not even the RR Sport. (which is a great vehicle by the way)
