I have just purchsed a used 2005 LR3 SE for my wife. She loves the vehicle and we got a really great deal on the car. We had looked for an HSE model but where unable to locate on with the colors she wanted. The Stereo is the Harmon Kardon unit and sounds great but I would like to get a little more volume out of the system. I want to keep everything very stock and want to know if its possibel to upgrade the 240watt system to the 500watt system or some other higher wattage system.

Do I simply need to switch out the amps or is it more intensive than this?If anyone has done this before any advice would be appreciated.
