Default 2005 > LR3 suspension may not be compressor

My wife's fantastic LR3 which has had little to no problems since purchased was bouncing, bouncing all the way home. I thought, that seems like a $1200 problem so I called my shade tree mechanic. He said look at all fuses and relays first before I come out there are a 1/2 dozen. I took out all the 20 amp ones, 70 amp relay (3/4" x 3/4" black relay) and the tall yellow one that is 20 amp. Well it was not the OE Ford Relay 70amp because I asked the AutoZone guy and he said " That's Hitachi they don't go down too easily and I bet it's not the relay." So I bought the $5.00 Bussman tall fuse, and presto!! No bouncy, bouncy.

Rule of thumb on these SUV's don't panic and don't jump to large conclusions. Check the cheapest parts first, then go on to pricier items. If it was the compressor there is a $64.00 kit on ebay you can easily repair yourself. (3) 10 mm bolts hold the compressor on. Don't buy the $935.00 part ever, it will rarely be the DC motor, rarely.

Rule of thumb on these SUV's don't panic like me and don't jump to large conclusions. Check the cheapest parts first, then go on to pricier items. Merged two duplicate threads and moved them to the LR3 section.
