I'm going to pickup a 2000 discovery That i got off ebay.
Seller says compressor for air bag suspension does not turn on.
I need to know if i can do any damage to the vehicle driveing it?
Is there away to manual fill the suspension?
Should I drive it to the nearest place to put coils on it?
Any help would be great.

I wouldn't buy it unless it were fixed first, you can be looking at a fairly pricey repair.
If already a done deal, don't drive it that way and send me your tele number so I can walk you thru what may be involved.

The truck made it home. The ride wasn't to bad about 300miles.
but i think the suspension is the least of my worries.
It's Late I got to get to sleep. I'll look @ the truck in day light tomorrow and try to give some idea how bad I got ##?%?
I have the feeling i'm going to need lots of friends for suport.
bottom line don't drink and ebay they don,t mix.

anyone like to give me a guess on how much a 2000 discovery is worth
the body is good the engine runs the transmsion works.
it has rust on the frame and engine, the air suspension is bad
the interior is real bad. smells like mold. the speedo doesn,t work the odometer doesn,t work
abs light stays on the srs light stays on the service engine light stays on and flashes. the key does not work in door. it is not a land rover key.
I like a idea of how much it worth so i can try to get the differance of what i paid 3050 if i can not return it.
The funny thing is with everything that is wrong with it. i liked driving it and think i got a small idae of what you guys love about them.

Man, I think you got the shaft. I have some of those problems, and I only paid $1,700. With a clean interior. Don't drink and eBay. I like that.

 

There's no thinking that i got, i got it, just trying to find ways to make it hurt less. I'm trying to work with ebay to see what my options are they have a vehicle purchase protection plan. I'm hoping can help.

Look at the silver lining in this dark cloud...you will get to learn a lot about your new, uhhm...hobby?, project?...passion!; that is the word I was searching for.

Go to rangerovers.net and do your homework...plus ask these guys here, nicely, do not pi** them off (esp. disco mike) by being a dumbsh**, and let the adventure begin !

No whine-ing allowed...YOU are a rover owner now; think jungles, deserts, savannahs, lions, &c... stiff upper lip, keep your pecker up, for God, queen and country &c.

Rovers seem to be user friendly to wrench upon, plus once you've fixed something you say "that's been fixed and I now know how to fix it. On to the next opportunity!"

If you wanted an easy, reliable toy, you should've bought a toyota.
Rovers are...uhhm, different.

 

Did he told you that problem before you made the deal? You got owned dealing at ebay dude. Don't drive it with something broken your you will have more problems.
