Well not to my knowledge. Never heard of such a mutant but I stand corrected if true.

In Europe, base passenger and LCV models were with springs in some countries.

In Australia there was a short lived S model with coils, 5 sets, cloth trim and a handful came as manual with TDV6 or 4L auto. Only released in early 05 and stopped in the same year.

... makes me wonder if there is something in place of the air suspension control unit on the "from the factory" coil suspension LR3's that allows the terrain control to function or is it done directly through the BCM...

Some of the base coil models didn't have terrain repsonse and those that did i assume it was just switched in the CCF which makes you wonder why you need a module for a coil conversion ?

Yeah, the coil suspension versions came without TR and all the special programs. Here is a good picture of a manual gearbox, hi/lo gear, cloth seats but EAS and TR missing https://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/lack-...3-t-89337.html

Let us not bring up that many have metal roofs. Dare I guess that its even possible more D3s have metal roofs than pano glass once you take into account the commercial vehicles? Not gonna lie, I would love a metal roof. But that pic of no terrain response weirds me out every time. So clean there.

I like having a sunroof but if it didn't have one i probably wouldn't miss it. I do see a lot without that option and even D4's which are generally higher spec.

My 2005 D3 4.4 liter V8 HSE does not have a sunroof nor does it have panorama windows in the rear. The roof is all metal. Muahahhahaa. 😎🤟

Again, this is a country/region thing - seems to me that product and marketing managers figured out that you can’t pretend you’re a luxury product unless you have a similar baseline as the competitors have.

Personally, I’m happy as a pig in s..t without the sunroof. Don’t have to worry about water ingress from that direction….

I’m reasonably sure you could get a LCV with sunroof either based on trim level or selecting it as an option. Perhaps not in all markets (UK had base, XS and S only?) but it was possible to select a SE or HSE trim level at least in the nordics. See, the LCV is really a tax dodge in many markets where the vehicle and/or diesel tax was relatively high. It is registered as a two seater, has a cargo floor in the back, blanking panels on the rear doors/windows a bulkhead/load guard right after the front seats. Some model years (markets?) included the seats, although not installed, when you got the vehicle. The floor fixings were hidden by bolted down steel panels to prevent install. If you were to install them you would get fined and would have to pay VAT on the whole vehicle. The difference in tax could be tens of thousands of euros between a 2 seater and a 5/7 seater.
