I have the opportunity to buy cross bars on the cheap. Can anyone confirm if Land Rover cross bars from a 2006 Range Rover would fit a 2006 LR3?

If you mean a LR RR Sport, then not without adjusting, because they are wider. The footings are the same, however, so you can cut the excess material to make them fit. Just note that when you do this (and it's dead easy) the bars have slightly different widths for the front and rear - I seem to recall the rails are wider apart at the rear of the vehicle.

Go for it. A much cheaper option than buying the dedicated bars.

If you're talking about bars for a FFRR, then I can't comment.
